I miss you. 16 years later.

I’ve been sick since last Thursday. Worst timing ever as I’m in the middle of moving, working 3 consecutive festivals in Indio on top of dealing with client and exhibit deadlines.  Sunday I took a mid day nap because I was exhausted from coughing up lungs. It was a 45 minute nap but in that short amount of  time I dreamt that I was shooting  video of Fancy Pants, Erica and Moni Lovers doing something cute  little girls do and we were all laughing and I thought to myself , “ I can’t wait to show my mom this, she’s going to love it.”  Then it hits me and I wake up.

16 years ago today my mom lost her battle with breast cancer.

Dearest Mom,
Thank you for the sacrifices you made.
Thank you for the strength you have passed on to me.
I blame you for nothing and forgive you for everything.
I miss you.
I love you.
