ABOUT INFINITE LIBRARIES ART EXHIBITION:
Infinite Libraries is a visual art exhibition based on texts describing 14 imaginary libraries written by visual artist/writer Gustavo Alberto Garcia Vaca. The art exhibition consists of architectural drawings, graphic design prints, graffiti paintings, sculptures and musical compositions by over 25 visual artists from around the world who visualize these imaginary libraries. The Infinite Libraries art exhibition is produced and curated by chamanvision, the visual/literary arts studio created by Gustavo Alberto Garcia Vaca and Alma Villegas. Highlights of the Infinite Libraries art exhibition include artwork by:
– Hideki Nakajima (NAKAJIMA DESIGN): Art director and graphic designer working in Tokyo. His work is featured in various books on contemporary design including “AGI: Graphic Design Since 1950” [published by Thames and Hudson], “Graphic Design for the 21st Century” [published by Taschen] and “Area” [published by Phaidon]. For the Infinite Libraries art exhibition, Hideki Nakajima has created a set of limited-edition artwork prints for each of the 14 libraries using various special print techniques.
– Jeff Mills: Detroit Techno producer/DJ Jeff Mills is one of the pioneering innovators of Electronic Music. He performs at music festivals and nightclubs around the world. His sound/video artworks have been exhibited at the Institute of Contemporary Art [ICA] in London, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and numerous other venues. For the Infinite Libraries art exhibition, Jeff Mills has created an original sound score for each of the 14 libraries.
